Connexions is a quarterly e-Learning interactive publication for faculty and administrators whose focus is technologically-enabled innovations in teaching and learning and the development of sound pedagogical practices that support digital literacy, and learning in digital ecosystems. Connexions is published by The Innovation in e-Learning and Teaching Innovation (e-LTI) at George Brown College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
George Brown College is on the cusp of a shift in how we engage our students, faculty, and external stakeholders. The 2020 Strategy, the Academic Plan, and the Academic Computing Strategy all outline a vision for the College that is rooted in innovation and excellence in teaching, learning, and research. Aligned with this vision, is the aim of facilitating a shift in thinking from delivery to engagement or actually to facilitating engagement in meaningful learning experiences. Such a shift in thinking naturally favours more web-enhanced, hybrid, and fully online engagement (including engagement through mobile devices) in the teaching and learning relationship. In this context, Connexions seeks to promote faculty engagement with enabling technologies by leveraging the modern paradigm of mobile application publishing.
The Connexions App is published using the Adobe Digital Publishing System and was made possible by the generous support of Adobe Systems and Adobe Worldwide Education.
